Our Five-Minute Film Project
We have to produce a short film for our main project, and our brief has gave us a five-minute limit on the length of our short film. It can be either animated or live-action, but we're going to make a live-action film, a bit like last year, but longer, better and include a start, middle, climax and end. I am quite intrigued to see what the year holds and what the outcome will be.
Ancillary Tasks 1 and 2
The first ancillary task will be to produce a poster advertising our five-minute film, like the ones you see in cinemas and shops before a film is released, to gain more fame. I have embedded some examples below here to show you what they look like:
The second ancillary task I've chose is a film magazine page review about the film. It will look a lot like a real one, and will talk much about reviews and genres the film incorporates, to show what audiences it may suit best. They often include star ratings from notable institutes or people (e.g. The Times Newspaper) which are mostly 4 or 5 stars to improve publicity. A magazine review is probably going to try and make out the film is good, so if The Sun rated it 2 stars, they simply won't include the review! Unless, however, their aim is to give the film a bad name.
