Editing Day 5

Editing Day 5 was a check of the foley and dialogue and the application of the soundtracks that we had gathered for the film. Dan was once again in control of the Mac, and the pressure was mostly on him to finish the sound, as he is designated sound editor and recorder, and knew where things were.

The soundtracks we used in the film were found by Deanna on two websites, FreeSFX.co.uk and Audio.lgfl.org.uk. They both featured a wide array of different soundtracks, but we were ooking for specific piano pieces of expressive and emotive music. My favourite soundtrack was Approaching the Hour, the one that kicks in with the transition to scene 2 when Rebecca is waiting at the table.

Dan managed to complete the sounds for scene 1 and most of scene 2, but ran out of time towards the end. He knew what he planned to do in the final day of editing, and was confident he would get it done in time.
